You just need your anti virus, chipset driver and network driver.
After you install Vista, update your chipset and netweork driver and install anti-virus.

Then, you can go online and update Windows and then you can download anything you need like printer driver, sound card driver graphics driver, flash, java ....

"Navid" can the Java and flash be downloaded in prep for the install, i would like to get the complete install before access to the internet ?

the latest drivers, antivirus will all be on another drive before the install and ready.

i hate to lose nero 6 ultra, it has always worked well, i think its worth the loss to move ahead, besides ill keep another computer with XP and nero for any task that may be needed.

ive got 4 computers with multiple drives, my main use desktop will have vista, XP box for the woman, and a box for windows home server at a latter date, the last box is for data storage.

"Gooberlx2" 64 bit driver support is what is keeping me from using 64 bit across the board, when everything get setteled in ill go 64 bit, my vista license will cover both 32 & 64 bit.

thanks to all that has helped, right now i want to have all needed applications on a hd and ready.

Those plug-ins depend on which browser you intend to use.
Firefox has a spell checker embedded. Does IE?

Anyway, as long as you download the appropriate version of the plug-in for the browser and the OS you intend it for, it should work fine.
