Thanks to MOTM I have set up a triple boot system with Win98SE WinXP and Mandrake Linux.

Now All I have left is to load all the little programs i may need. My question is, do applications need to be installed into each versions of windows or just one? For example if i install office in to Win98, do i still have to install it into WinXP in order for both to be able to utilize office?

yes you would have to install it on each, because installing a program not only sets up the files for it, but writes alot of data to the registry. you may be able to get away with installing both to the same location and sharing the files, but at the very least you'll have to install on each one to get it properly working on both.

edit: uh..yeah, read the faq's jerk! ;)

There is a link to the FAQs at the top of each forum page. Please take a look at the various FAQs we have available. Andy Hui wrote most (if not all) of the FAQs and they are very helpful. :)

Nope. I kind of had one, but recent life changes have removed that from my possession...

There are some programs that will run without actually installing them, Just about every Microsoft program will not, however the majority of Adobe programs will. The easiest way to find out is to run the exe and find out!
