application sharing program

Is there an application sharing program that lets me take control of any chosen program on another computer without interrupting the user of that computer?

Scenario: Bob is playing world of warcraft on his computer. Bob's girlfriend calls Bob up and tells him to get on an instant messenger and talk to her. Bob tells his roommate, Jim, to take control of his WoW using Jim's own computer. Jimmy uses his computer to play the WoW running on Bob's computer, and at the same time Bob talks to his girlfriend on the same computer.

Lame scenario, but I hope that it's clear what I mean by application sharing program.

Thanks for any help.

You can do stuff similar to that using X clients and servers, although 3d stuff is probably still a bit rough and I don't know about transferring a program from one console to another while it's running (usually you have to pick a console when you start the app). Of course that wouldn't work for most things on windows, a program would have to be built to use X for display.

In your scenario, it would make much more sense for Jimmy and Bob to switch seats so Jimmy can play WoW on Bob's computer and Bob can talk to his girly from Jimmy's computer. Or they can stay where they are and Jimmy can impersonate Bob from his computer and Bob can keep playing.
