This is likely to be an idiot type post with my missing the obvious but here goes.
I have just installed an LG GSA 4040B cd/dvd/ram/rw and whilst I can backup my dvd's with DVD X Copy I find that I cannot back up my music cd's.
When I insert the blank into the LG I get a message that
"The file has no application associated with it for performing this action create an association in the folder options control panel"
In the popup that appears on inserting most discs the highlighted action is indescipherable (?) rubbish.
Win XP also seems not to like the discs I am using but strangely identical discs that I used to backup data with my old cd writer are fine.
The LG reads all discs fine and plays all discs with any sort of data/music or video but it seems it will not start the rw discs I am using allthough good quality
Memorex 700-1X-4X.
I installed my old writer and found I still could not backup my Forty Licks CD.
Can I or do I have to do anything to enable these discs to lead in and lead out which seems to be the problem
