Apple's NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. How does it compare?

Just curious what the integrated 9400M compares to other desktop soultions? Integrated video has sure improved since the old days.

In Vista I get a 5.9 rating for graphics, and my X1650 Pro get like 4.7. So I know it is better than my AGP card.

Nope, only to play medal of honor allied and pacific assault. And also to play half life 2 every now an then. Just the basics...

BTW, its a mini. But similar hardware to the MCP.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro with the 9400m and the 9600m. I have found myself gaming on the the 9400m without realizing it before. It's a pretty powerful little GPU and performs well as long as you don't expect too much from it.

its dog slow.
igp are made to fit laptops which have power envelopes which are a fraction of a regular modern desktop cards power consumption alone😛

Yea... it's not very fast. If all you ever had in a laptop were Intel Graphics, then they're a HUGE improvement, but that's not saying much.

The 9400m will play most source games without a problem. It struggles on L4D a little bit in my experience, but is still playable. A lot of other games are playable, like COD4, Oblivion, Far Cry, etc; but, they're only playable at very low settings.
