Apple's new TV ads are annoying. Agree?

When I was watching the NBA Finals tonight, I seemed to be getting all these Apple ads with people talking about how they "escaped Windows and got a computer that actually worked" with links to their http://www.apple.com/switch/ website.

Is there anyone else out there that thinks these are silly? I'm no big Microsoft lover as the next guy, but can't this hurt Apple in a way? I mean.. if they pull Microsoft the wrong way, cant they just stop development and pull Internet Explorer, Office, and all future software development. I know Apple's contract with MS is over, but hey it could happen for Apple spewing propoganda against Windows and PCs.

What's your take on it?

i dont think its aimed at people who know computers well. i do think it is doing a good job of catching people's eyes though. there was another thread in these forums posted by someone who seemed irrate over the commercials. any kind of publicity is good. i dont think it is a big worry for apple that they are "attacking" windows. internet explorer i know isnt a big deal. theres opera, mozilla, netscape, and a few other browsers that work fine. as far as office goes, i dont think this is enough for microsoft to pull office from apple and if it was, i dont think it would make that big of a deal. apple would just create or buy another office suite that is compatible with microsoft office. people are wondering now why OS X is so great. i think thats what apple is going for and i think they got it.

i like the commercials 😀

i especially liked the one where the guy described windows as being like a bad relationship, it had alot of truth in it. either way, they're just commercials. i could pick out alot of commercials i dont like. most people here seem to just be anti-mac zealots.
