What goes under the hood no longer matters - he is gone.

Unlike some of our more discreet RBMs, my guess is that razkum/AppleFanboy did not manage to hide himself behind SEVEN PROXIES, and thus it was just a matter of comparing his associated IP addresses with that of his previous persona.

The VB admin tools are fairly powerful and make that very easy to do - just need someone with admin access (I'm guessing most of the mods don't have, which is why it took a day or two for him to disappear).

Had to do the same a few times on another forum I was saddled with being the admin for.
