When I bought my iPhone 3GS, I wasn't sure if I should buy it. Well, I did and 1.75 years later, the mic on my iphone stopped working. Walked into the Applestore and walked out with a replacement in about five minutes.

Nice thing too, I believe I got the AppleCare for like $30-40.

Yeah, have had the same experience on my Macbooks, iPhones, etc. They've been pretty dang good about fixing things under warranty.

Applecare got me a brand new laptop after one I had needed frequent fixing. It took some pushing, but they treated me right. On any kind of mobile purchase from them, I wouldn't really hesitate to get it.

Well, they still sell the 8gb version. I have the 32gb.

I've been tempted to get it for my iPad... how long do you have from purchase date to buy the AppleCare? I do have it for my iPhone 3GS, but I've never had to use it (owned it for about 2 years and 1 month so far).
