Applebee's Riblets?

The story I heard back when I used to serve there is, the butchers in the area used to discard of the riblets back in the day until the guy who founded Applebees figured out he could get them in bulk for dirt cheap and people would eat them. I don't know if that is true or not but it sounds right based on the multiple first hand experiences I've had with how cheap that company can be.

The riblets are the most disgusting things on the earth. I used to hate serving the damn things and cleaning up after the slobs that left the tiny bone scraps all over the table.

If you actually like ribs, as in you seek out hole-in-the-wall greasy spoons because you heard they might be covertly operating a smokehouse behind the restaurant, you will HATE them.
If you eat a lot of the mass market chain ribs (Rib-It, Outback, Dawsons, etc) you will dislike them.
If you hardly ever eat ribs you might enjoy them.

There is good stuff at Applebee's, though. Just not riblets.

If you livei n NY, go to the Dinosaur BBQ, fvcking INSANE ribs.

In fact, I'd be willing to go there and get some and freeze em and mail em to you they are THAT f'ing good

TEXAS ROADHOUSE FTW!!!

- They are always in the #1/#2 spot out of all the rib places around my area. I know what good ribs taste like, so whenever I have crappy ribs, I can tell right away. Texas Roadhouse actually just changed over their ribs. Now they have fewer bones and more meat.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'll stay away from their ribs, and just go with one of their good hamburgers.

Riblets are the devil. I will never eat them again after gorging myself one night on all you can eat riblets. That was a LONG night and next day 🙁

I have had ribs from all over the US - and I do like AppleBees riblets, and have only once had a problem with thier service (College Park DC local)
