This is a BIG win for AMD if apple is already committed to buying a chip that is not even released yet for one of their products. I can't remember Apple ever being on bleeding edge hardware it seems to me they always take their time and move to proven platforms that know won't have supply or reliability issues(outside the terrible nvidia mobile chipsets that are almost guaranteed to fail)

theyre smart to refresh ipad this soon, before android tablets start coming out. the new ipad will be a monster since a lot of people who havent bought ipad are just waiting for the next generation of tablets. i love ipad, theyre a lot more convenient than netbooks

Too bad a stylus can't be used with iPad for note taking/ note organizing.

It's possible, but this seems unlikely. The AppleTV has always been a strong candidate for iOS: it's a locked down platform that needs little in the way of processing power (since video decoding can be done by a GPU). Fusion means x86 which means Mac OS X, and I don't see a huge benefit in being able to run Mac OS X on a device like that.

I tried to use an Ipad one day while at Best Buy, within 5 minutes I was so frustrated with the thing I had to put it down before I broke it. The touch screen is horrible for attempting to type, a simple google search took me minutes. lol Might be worth noting I also hate phones with touch screens, and the phones with full keyboards. Honestly though, if it had a stylus so I could write the way I can within Windows using my pen tablet, I'd actually consider getting an Ipad.

Apple switched to Core cpus two months before they were announced. I remember the furor over the announcement, everybody said Apple should have gone AMD because they thought Apple was switching to the P4. They also shipped a laptop with a mobile cpu before it was even announced.
