Apple thinks its iPad is the shizz, better than a Netbook my rear

Most telling part of the article "Apple says no to Good ideas everyday". Yea, they do. They say yes to the bad ones like the iPad as it exists.

Timmy Cook, time to wake the F up and smell the steaming pile of *** that is your iPad.

Comparing it to a Netbook is just embarassing:

Here, let's start with basics:

Netbook checks, iPad lacks:

USB?
Expansion?
Flash?
Webcam?
Video Output?

iPad checks:

1/2 ass OS

So an iPad twice as expensive as a Netbook but lacks nearly all of the features that make it a fully functioning computer is what your company can do when you put all of your "wood behind it".

Apple please pull that core out of your ass and just admit you are mostly a fashion accessory company.

Yeah it does seem like a big fail to me. Only time will tell of course. I just don't see it becoming as fashionable as iPods/iPhones since $500 is a lot for those without disposable incomes.

Other tablets are actual computers which are able to do things, but in tablet forms.

2008: 16 million
2009: 33 million
2010 (projected): 40 million

This isn't counting the rapidly growing mini-note category that uses ULV processors while retaining netbook-like pricing.

Do you think the iPad will outsell every netbook by 10x? Asus alone expects to sell 8 million netbooks this year; all Apple has to do is sell 80 million iPads in 8 months to prove your claim (roughly 4 iPads per second continuously 24/7 for the rest of the year).

This is what kills it. Apple should have just converted the macbook pro into a tablet.

If it ran a real OS and not the gimped ipod OS, this would be a totally different story.

That plus Flash capability, and the iPad would be a pretty competitive product. Without a real OS and Flash support, however, it's a pretty big fail.

I agree 100 percent. In fact, if it weren't for a small, but vocal minority, who attempt to convince everyone that the Ipad is the greatest invention ever, no one would be bashing it.

If only I could figure out who the people are that keep singing its praises.......

Cowon don't do that.

They need to stop as well unless they've actually held one in their hand and used it to it's full capabilities. How someone can blindly support a product is beyond me...

Personally I have no interest in protecting a would-be ipad owner from looking and feeling like a fool, who's bound to part with their money soon anyways.
