Apple sued by Cisco

I assume AAPL is going to try and defend themselves with the argument that they have a implicit trademark on anything starting with the letter (small) "i".

Sorry, the iPhone ain't nuttin special.

I've had smartphones for years that do the same, and actually get email and have decent battery life.

Wait till this thing ships and the screen starts the scratch, the hell they will receive will be unreal.

When I read an article about the Apple iPhone, the article mentioned that Apple paid Cisco for use of the name. Now this. It makes me wonder where the writer of that article got his information (or if he just fabricated it).

I am pretty sure Apple isn't going to go release a device with this much anticipation and fanfare around it and not realize that the name they chose was owned by someone else.
