Apple stores will fix & warranty Jailbroken devices

Saw this posted a few days ago on the iPhone forums I frequent. Apple officially will honor the warranty of a JB device so long as the problem wasn't caused by Jailbreaking or a Cydia app. This is big news, I remember Samsung wouldn't fix the charging port my Note 1 due to it being rooted. They sent it back to me and said fix it yourself hacker. I understand their stance, next to no companies will touch a rooted/hacked device for repair work. I'm not sure if this means Apple's easing up on their views of JB'ing, I highly doubt that. But it's nice to know if I ever have to take my iP6+ in to an Apple Store, I won't have to unjailbreak and restore it 1st due to fear of being sent home.

Jailbreaking has never voided the warranty. It's covered by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Samsung violated the law if they wouldn't repair your device under warranty.
