So I've heard that if you go to the Apple Store and flash a student ID, you get 10 percent off any purchase. I also heard someone talking about some first time purchaser coupon that would be like 30 dollars off. Anyone heard of either of these deals?

The discounts in the Apple Store *DO NOT* apply to software. If you want a discount on OS X, you need to buy it online :-(
