Apple roxxorz my boxxorz!

Update, Apple replaced my iPod, go find another DAP to hate

Ok, anyone that buys an iPod needs to be smacked

I sent my iPod in for repair (its under warranty) because my hold switch was being a bitch. Well, a week later, I get the same iPod back, with the same broken hold switch, with two big clumps of dust between the casing and the LCD, a huge blemish on my center switch, and (more) scratches on it. I wasn't pissed about not getting the hold switch repaired, because its a minor nuisance, but I didn't expect to get it back scratched like a mofo. And waiting 20 minutes to talk to a customer care rep, only to hear "Please take it to your nearest Apple Store, there is nothing we can do" didn't make me feel anyu better

So, what should I do, asides from never buy an iPod again?

1) Buy new iPod.
2) Take pictures of new iPod and list it on ebay.
3) Ship old iPod and move to Mexico.

For any Apple warranty service, take it to an Apple Store. They will treat you nicely usually.

thats what I wanted to know, because the lady with customer care was being a real bitch about it, but she got told "Excuse me, it was scratched when you guys had it, don't go blaming me for their (repair ppl) screwup" and went on to suggest taking it to an Apple Store

Keep bitching, they broke it. They need to fix it.

Thats exactly what the guy with Apple tech support told me before connecting me to customer care (I dialed the wrong Apple number)

Surprising. I'd go to the nearest Apple store and b!tch out the store manager until they either asked me to leave or fixed my problem.

do you even have an apple store near you?

its an hour away, so I'd have to wait until the weekend to get a chance to go there, thats pretty much why I'm pissed off

He probably won't even have to bitch, Apple routinely just takes units off of the shelf and gives them to people when doing an RMA.

The Apple store in my area is always busy. They'd hate to have a sour customer around complaining and setting a bad image for the company. Give it try if you have one near you.

don't buy an ipod... get iriver or something else.

I already have the iPod, and I like the player itself, but Apple should make their customer care reps more like their Apple Store employees, I've been there a couple of times and they're all pretty cool
