Apple releases iPad-ready website list

I just want to know why Apple is so hell bent on leaving Flash off this thing. We can run off all the problems with Flash until the cows come home, and how great HTML5 is. But so many websites use Flash.

Not THAT many. In fact, besides the video sites (which are already in the process of converting) I can't think of anything I have to un-Flashblock. Ads on lots of sites and the occasional splash page... but really, what are some other sites you visit regularly that depend on flash?

Also, I love that so many sites are ditching flash. Even if they're doing it for the iPad at first, I think it'll be a better thing for the web in general. HUZZAH!!!!

Yeah, I was really offended by no Flash at first...but...Youtube and Flash ads, that's pretty much it, and the occassional full-Flash website, which are support annoying because you have to wait for everything to load.

Oh man, the reality distortion field is working its magic already D:

So can you watch html 5 videos on iphones and itouches? Just curious.

I just visited TED.com on my iPhone.. Home page has the columns of videos like the normal home page (which is in flash I think). Clicking them takes me to a page dedicated about the story and a video which is hosted by Youtube. Clicking play starts playing the video on your phone.
