The earliest supported Macs are from 2012.

I just upgraded my Win 7 boot camp install on my mid-2010 iMac and everything works perfectly. Everything works as it should. Haven't updated anything from Apple.

Will it work on a model not listed? Not supported sometimes means you can try it but no guarantees from the developer. I've got a 2011 17" i7. I'm sure it's plenty powerful enough, but does Apple have a hard lockout?

If you already have a windows install running fine, I don't see why it won't work. It worked fine for me. The boot camp utility in Windows was carried along in the upgrade no sweat. I can still boot into OSX and such.
