apple refurbs?

has anyone got a refurb ipod from apple? how are they? do they have any sort of warrenty?

1 year warrenty, I bought the 15 gb 3rd gen iPod, works fine. the one I got was obviously used because the back silver part has small scratches on it...

if you're looking at the 10gb 3rd gen go for the 15 gb. I believe it's only a $50 price difference and you get the dock, remote, a case, and 5 extra GB. If you want to sell the dock on eBay for $30-35 and it'll only be $15 difference.


btw, now I want a 1800! 19" sony trinitron getting annoying 🙂

hm.. when I bought mine about a month ago they had a Refurbished iPods (w/ Dock Connector) and a Refurbished iPods (without Dock Connector) section. looks like right now they only have the 2nd gens in stock. Honestly I wouldn't buy a 2nd gen iPod. The third gen is much smaller in the hand and it looks lot better. check ipodlounge.com for more info on the gens.

so bottom line you can tell if it's a third gen if it has a dock connector.
