I would if there were an apple store anywhere near here..... I thought they sent you a new one? Theyll send me one with scratches on it? are you sure?

I don't know about apple but I know other companies like to send out refurbs as replacements for items sent in. Just ask them because its no secret to them what they do.

You can tell them you don't want a refurb and see if that works. If you raise hell about it who knows what could happen. They might just give you a new one to shut you up 🙂

Update: Well, they found nothing wrong with it ( go figure) and are sending it back. I think ill just have to continue using this one until the problem returns, THEN make the hour drive to my "Local" apple store and get a new one. because i kNOW that itll get fixed in the mail magically if I send it in broken. Stupid Apple...

Yes but Apple does rigorous testing with all of their high quality products. Trust them. There's nothing wrong with your iPod. It works doesn't it?

Mine clicks very lightly occasionally but this is more inline with the normal head moving about though.

I have not experienced the click of death on my iPod like it is on my 80GB IBM HD! That th ing is like a small jet turbine now...
