Apple (OSX) networking question

My parent's Mac desktop (running OSX) was connected to the Internet via DSL with a PPPoE login. They would have to click connect everytime they got online. Now it's connected to an always on switch port. It doesn't need a login or anything. How do I tell the Mac it's always connected to the Internet?

thanks

Try this article: Mac OS X: Connecting to the Internet with PPPoE
Pay special attention to step 8, that setting should make it connect automatically.

Read the OP again, he's not using PPPoE anymore.
