apple on campus stores

So I decided I wanted to buy an ipod today. I went to bestbuy and they were sold out of everything except the 30 gig version which is bigger than I wanted. Target has none. I can't think of any other stores in the area that sell them either. Now I know we have an on campus apple store at the college. Do these stores actually stock any products like this or just have a couple demo units and make you order the item? Apparently the store is in the basement of one of our buildings so I just can't see them having inventory on hand like if they were in the student center or something

Damn impulse buys that you can't get.......

hmmm, well my campus store has a bunch of PDAs, as well as IPODs, Xbox's (console & games) and PS2's (console and games). but then again my school has $$$ up the ying-yang. i guess it depends on what kind of school you go to.

Man I must not be using english well today, I'm wondering if apple campus stores carry items, or if they just have you demo them there and then order them, or if it varies by campus.

At my college they carried more software than hardware, but that was at a small college (Eastern Washington U).

They are not stores, justa gateway to the product for a cheaper student price. They will most likely not have inventory and will order the merchandise straight from apple, which they have an account with. For instance, I purchased from my school here

Cool, thats what I figured. I was hoping they carried some stock because I wanted it now

Desslock we're a small school too, but you've given me hope so I'll call tomorrow before I order online
