Apple Mini display part?

Stupid question, how do you hook up a regular monitor to a mini? On ebay I see just special ports for the display which leads me to beleive you need an adaptor or an apple monitor.

You need an adapter, or an Apple 24" LED Monitor.

The adapters are cheap, you can get them from Dynex or Monoprice or on ebay for about $10. New Minis have both Mini DisplayPort and Mini DVI. No real advantage of one over the other for most people. Older Minis only have DVI or Mini DVI.
