Apple iTune DRM system??

Hi all,

Does anyone of you here know that how Apple set up their DRM systems for itunes?? I'm just very curious about how they can allow only authorized computers to play the songs after they've been sold. Do you guys know what software or hardware do they use?? humm,, interesting...... anyone's comments are greatly appreciated, thank you so much!!!

Here's the restrictions:
you can play your music on up to three computers, enjoy unlimited synching with your iPods, burn unlimited CDs of individual songs, and burn unchanged playlists up to 10 times each.

The software is something apple has written themselves. I don't expect to see lots of data on how it was done, as it migth make it easier to hack.

Hi notfred,

Thank you very very much for your reply. I really appreciate it. But I'm a little confused of how they do it. So do they host their encrypted content? Once their content has been downloaded, when users try to play their downloaded music, then users deal with their DRM system through the internet connection?? Is this the way they do it??
