Hi, I'm looking at getting the new 60gb Apple iPod with video in a month or so. My decision is mostly based on the features you can get at this particular price-point. Basically I want something that will be able to play audio files, with the added bonus of playing video now-and-then, and I want to be able to transfer digital camera photos to it while on holidays, so I don't have to bring my laptop overseas.

The issue is this: what accessories are actually compatible with the 5g iPod? The Apple store (in Australia) doesn't list many at all, and doesn't list any of the camera connectors as being compatible.

Secondly, I'm currently leaning towards getting a Canon Powershot A520 (4MP, 4x optical zoom), and is that camera likely to be compatible with any of the camera connectors for the iPod?

if your digi cam has a usb connecter, then it would work for the ipod. IIRC the ipod would work with all accessories that have the ipod adapter or something. iPods have a huge amount of accesories avaliable

All of the dock connectors work with the Ipod Video, just not all of them will fit it snugly, but they will attach and work fine.

I know several companies are offering "5g adapters" as free upgradings to their products, which are little plastic things you put in the dock to tighten it a bit around the video.
