So, I went in to Best Buy to see how much they'd give me for my pristine AT&T iPhone 5, 64gb. Turns out, they won't give me anything because the model number, NE490LL/A isn't in their system.
This is actually a replacement phone for one of my earlier ones that I returned because the lock button stopped working. It never occurred to me they'd give me something "different". I think that sucks, now, that I might not be able to use a more regimented trade-in program. I obviously can still use Craigslist or whatever (the phone is still an iPhone 5 and it still works perfectly, obviously) but I was hoping to have a simpler process this time when I sell the phone.
Has anyone else experienced this? Do I have any recourse here?
