Apple ibook (800MHz) memory question

I plan to buy one evil ibook, a $999 800MHz model with 128M ram. Well, I searched Crucial.com, they had 512M PC133 for
this ibook for $135. Anyone know other cheap 512M ram does work well on this model? Please tell me.

Thanks a lot.

Because once your volumes are high enough it is cheaper to standardize on a part that is backwards compatible. Pc133 is backwards compatible with PC100 which is what your iBook uses. It's likely that the cheaper part is also PC133 but labveled that way so as not to cause confusion.

addragyn, I checked resellerrating.com. Well, it's like a shot or miss.
4.48 lifetime rating, only a few reviews in 2003.
I think I will wait a while to listen to others opinion. Thanks.

i've tried 2 no-name 512 mb sodimm on a 800Mhz iBook...... no problem at all.

check pricewatch.... last time i checked the cheapest was $67.

Amen, I picked up a dirt cheap pricewatch dimm for my ice-book... No problems in the last 12 months... :disgust: The damn things so slow that sh!tty ram will have no impact on it.

I can second that OWC's decent. Picked up a Sonnet upgrade for my dear departed Sawtooth from them. No complaints.
