Yet another reason why I just bought an SGS3.

Regardless of the outcome of the lawsuit, the Android freight train is moving too fast for Apple to stop at this point.

Q2 numbers show Android handsets moved 105 million units worldwide, vs 26 million iPhones. The disparity increases quarter-by-quarter like clockwork.

Even a $3 billion verdict wouldn't stop Samsung. They made more profit than that in one quarter, largely on the sales of the Android phones.

And I will buy 2 cause you are not buying one. I got no problem with Apple doing this. More money comes back to America from South Korea which should help both you and I.

You are the dumbest person on here.

In fact i would go so far as to say you are the reason why Americans are viewed as stupid across the globe.

Which is a shame because you are probably the minority

Lol, you think more money in the hands of Tim Cook helps Americans. If Apple brought manufacturing back to the US, you could use that argument.

I just know that more money in the hands of Samsung's CEO, Lee Kun-hee, doesn't help Americans.

Surely Tim Cook will use that money to buy more coffee in the U.S. right? Even a little bit helps. :)

Because Socialist Protectionist and semi racist remarks are wrong on every level.

"bring da money back from dem koreans, yar yar yar" type comments coming from badly educated people are the typical sounds made by the idiots who know little to nothing.

The reason why the US has 10% unemployment has more to do with your own doing than any Asian or foreign country "taking your jobs"

If IBM had been able to patent the PC in its early days, imagine what the world of personal computers would be like today.

Whoah.... How did my post turn into a racist jab? And when did I say anything about Asians taking my jobs?

All I said was that the better Apple does, the better off the U.S. economy is. I don't even think you can disagree with that. Nothing against the Koreans. They are very smart. But I would prefer that an American company doing well rather than a South Korean company purely for selfish/economical reasons.

I think you took my post totally the wrong way.

Not seeing how taking money from Samsung and giving it to Apple is good for the US economy really.

Why not? It was more of a metaphor anyways. The grand scheme is that the better Apple is doing against foreign companies, the better off the U.S. economy is. We would import less and export more. Simple economics.

Apple's highest paying jobs are in the U.S. Samsung's highest paying jobs are in Korea. When Samsung makes a sale in the U.S., some of the dollar will go back to South Korea. When Apple makes a sale, no money goes to South Korea. All money stays within the U.S.' system.

No, Apple winning against Samsung doesn't bring back manufacturing jobs. But do you want to lose both the manufacturing jobs and the engineering jobs?

You do realize that Samsung hires a lot of Americans here, right? If Apple kicked out samsung, that would be a tremendous net loss of American jobs. Apple won't be hiring more people (except for slaves in China) if the Iphones replaced those Samsung sales in the US

You have no proof of this and are misguided. Which corporations do you think led the global expansion while leaving Americans behind? Which group of wealthy entities regulate economic policies and landed us in hot water? I'm pretty sure it wasn't the koreans. You want to continue the lies and the status quo?

Apple manufactures all its stuff abroad, Samsung have just opened a fab in the US.

When Apple makes a sale the money doesnt stay in the US it goes to the shareholders and they are scattered around the world, plus Apples suppliers (a major one of which is Samsung).

When someone buys a Samsung phone, part of the money goes directly to South Korea. When someone buys an iPhone, the money does not go to South Korea. The money stays here and gets circulated again.

In the grand scheme of things, it's much better to export than to import. Simple economics taught in high school.

LOL, Apple moves jobs abroad. Samsung brings jobs to the states. Do you honestly believe all the investors of Apple are American? You can invest in apple all over the world. The money is going to a select few individuals. Again, Apple will NOT hire more American workers if the Iphone replaces Samsung products. They will hire more chinese slaves. And American Samsung jobs will be lost because the US judicial system will be seen as hostile to foreign investment. How do you not get this.

Say bye bye to Samsung investments in America like this:

Where does Apple source the majority of their components and labor from? Proof that the money gets "circulated" into the US and not globally? Its amazing how clueless you are. Buy Chevy or Ford even though they ditched US workers and went to mexico or canada amirite?
