If I use a adaptor this will allow me to use a PC (AGP) monitor with a Macintosh computer correct? Just want to make sure...

The problem is that the person gets no video, so I'm tryin to get a MAC monitor to see if its the computer or the monitor that is bad. Does anyone know if that model can support like a different video card in case the onboard or third party one is fried? I'm not familiar with Macintosh at all and this is an older machine. They just want it to be up and running long enough to get their information off that they need (they didn't backup). Any thoughts/suggestions are cool with me, thanks for your time.
