I have been considering getting a 20 or 23inch Cinema display, but they run them at different resolutions than what I normally see.If I get a DVI to ABC adapter will this play nice with my ati9800?
 
It might, I suggest just buying a Samsung 20 or 23 inch widescreen display and cutting out the adaptor. I *think* they are the same substrates anyway

It should, but remember you'll have no monitor adjustment controls. Those are handled in software, which cannot be done on the PC.
