count me in for a 16gb 5s. i've had the 4 since verizon came out with it. about time i upgrade!
I'm going to wait for the 6 next year. I'm still on the 4![]()
Very unimpressed with the recent development. I was hoping to be convinced to drop Android for iOS again. All the new features are of 0 value to me and would therefore render the 5S/5C equivalent to the original 5, of which i sold.
The biggest letdown is the fact that the display hasn't changed in resolution... my guess would be for developers and apps being able to function out of the box but we're in the age of 1080p displays with 720p being a fair standard.
- S4 has bigger screen, but quality wise its the same as the 5.
- People still harp on Megapixels? The S4 takes nice photos, but I bet the 5S will do better.
- NFC? uh crickets. No one uses this.
- 2GB RAM? Is that why the S4 still stutters?

Koing
Why not wait for the 6S?
Who the fuck cares about the display resolution?! Do you not realize that you PHYSICALLY CANNOT SEE THE PIXELS AT ANY HIGHER? Physically, they do not register to your fucking eyeballs. The only way that could be wrong is if you held it 6" away from your face like a god damn fool.
Who the fuck cares about megapixels. When is the last time I've ever shared a photo at full-resolution from my mobile phone? Let me think about it... Oh, pretty much fucking never. If they capped it at 5 megapixels I'd be fine with it. In fact, I'd be MORE satisfied if they did that because I know the sensor area PER pixel is BIGGER AND THEREFORE BETTER.
NFC is a useless feature to me. I try to pay things with cash so I don't gouge out small businesses on credit card fees (Yes, there are fees even with your debit card!).
Yeah, I'm on the 4. I want the 6 already... but I think I am going to buy the iPhone 5S. I have a feeling the iPhone 5S might be the last hold out before Apple crushes under the pressure from the "WE MUST HAVE A BIGGER SCREEN" crowd. I really like the size of the iPhone 4 a lot. It's basically perfect. Yeah, sure, sometimes I wish it was bigger when I am viewing some websites... but I have a 24" monitor for those moments. I actually think the iPhone 5S has too big of a screen. I hate this larger screen shit everyone wants. I want to forget that I have a phone in my pocket and not have everyone think, "Hey, is that an iPhone in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
My favorite color is the gold followed by the silver. However I'm thinking the silver might hide scratches the best. What do you think?
Is the silver simply textured aluminum, or is it a silver color on top of aluminum through anodization?
no AC Wifi (which is a surprise, but it isn't finalized yet anyway, so who knows)
I'm confused. Did you read my post? Lol
The silver is bare aluminum.
What does make the lack of 802.11ac weird is that Apple already has hardware ( including a router ) that supports it. Although, I doubt that 802.11ac even has decent adoption. I've been tempted to buy a router for a while now, but I pretty much never transfer files over WiFi and you don't exactly need 1300Mbps for browsing the web. Also, the routers that I've been looking at are around $200. I could have gotten a Linksys one down to $160 (also came with a gift card), but I decided against it.

What the heck would you do with 802.11ac on a phone anyhow?
Assuming the phone is still on USB 2.0...transfer photos & videos. I fill up my 32GB 4S pretty much weekly and it's a pain to leave it sitting there uploading to my computer via cable. And too slow to do it over Wi-fi. Just an annoyance.
