Apple Cinema Display -- all I can say is "Wow!"

I stopped by Micro Center today for the first time in awhile (quite some distance away from my normal haunts), and they had an Apple 22" Cinema Display set up. I had heard about this "monitor" before but had never seen it in person. I have to give an enthusiastic thumbs up to Apple for this product as it was easily the most gorgeous display I have ever seen. Normally, LCD displays appear washed out to me, but this one has more vibrant colors than my NEC aperture grille at home. I just sat and stared at it for awhile.

Too bad I don't have $4300 to drop on one though.

Yeah, they're nice, but cost twice what PC hardware does. And usually you can find PC hardware (even LCDs) that are better than theirs. You should check out the viewsonic LCDs, they're nice.

I've seen plenty of LCD's in stores (Viewsonic, NEC, IBM) and just have never seen that vibrance before. Yes, they are outrageously expensive, but I guess if you're even thinking of buying one, it doesn't really matter since you probably have the money!
