Apple and Wintel Wireless Networking

Styles

Junior Member
Heya,

Well Currently I have 2 PC's running Win2k networked using just a standard 4 Port Hub.
I am looking at adding an Apple iBook to the equation but want to go wireless...
I also have an ADSL connection which I would like to share bewtween them all.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions of what I should look at to get this done...

Thanks!

Probably an SMC barricade router with built-in wireless would fit your bill. You'll have to also buy an Airport card for the iBook.

Your EASIEST solution would be to buy an Airport AP, and an Airport card for the Mac. Plug the AP into your hub. Use the same settings for the Mac as you do for the PC on the hub (Gateway, subnet mask, etc).

Good Luck

Scott
