The first thing Jobs did was to axe the program and make Macs a closed architecture again...

They didn't need to...the license for Mac Roms was opened up to a large number of companies (just about anyone actually). It turns out that the public really wasn't that interested in the Mac OS...

The program lasted from early 1995 through mid-1997.

You do have away of making me lol. Unlike Viditor who never ans a question correctly. Viditor no one would buy Mac OS in volumn without load and run x86 programms. Bootcamp made it better but thats no ans. to problem . Sandy bridge solves apples problems . But puts a load on MS. About dam time I might add. If Snow run Intel AVX native. This breaks MS monopoly. Its a hugh game changer . To say it won't happen this way is foolish knowing what we do know to be fact. Intel/Apple it seems learned from the Best . It would appear they learned well. Its to bad IBM is buy sun . I so wanted to see Sun come back. But who knows maybe IBM won't buy Sun . Once they read the cross license agreement betwee INtel / Sun on the SPARC deal. Intel pretty much laid the rules here when they bought Elbrus. Sun was using Elbrus Tech. When Sun made that illeageal deal WITH sparc Russia was the USSR. So when Intel bought Elbrus Sun had to redo the license agreement . Intel used leverage and got it there way. I doubt the sun deal goes threw . When IBM finds out this tech is out of reach for them. They won't buy.

For the records Idon't care . I made that economic call along time ago . Here . Back when people thought it was good . I told all it was a lie we were living . by putting an x86 cpu in a mac and modifying macOSX to run on x86...

not that it was any harder before, becauase the only x86 programs are programs written in ASSEMBLY CODE.
Most programs are written in C or java or something, which can then be compiled to ARM, PPC mac, x86 windows, x86 mac, etc

SO can I load programs made to run on ms os run on old IBM macks . This is what I am getting at here. A program made to run with MS. put it directly on a mac intel machine . without using boot camp. Is some one here going to say that program will run. Lets cut the BS. Because thats my point with AVX.

I really not finding correct way to say what I want. SO lets do it like this .

X86 is ported to AVX. . SO if you load a program for MS on to sandy if it has not been ported it will not run on Sandy The eastiest port is ALL sse2 . with a prefix of (vec) If I recall correctly. From their the ports get bit more intense.
