Apple Adapter + Radeon 7950

I was trying to get third monitor going from a 7950, but i have two vga monitors, so one of them would need a mini-display port to VGA adaptor.

Anybody know if the Apple adaptors will work in a for 7950? And of course, if you know anywhere else i could find a Mini-Display port to VGA adaptor, that would help.

If it doesn't state active, it's passive. Active is a selling point and there is no reason a retailer would not advertise it.

You can get an active adapter for around $25 these days.

i'll need a mini-display port to get it to work, but i'll try the one i ordered from them (Shipped just after i ordered it), and send it back if it doesn't work. I'm hoping passive will still work with three monitors that ren't necessarily in an eyefinity group.

I appreciate the AMD link though, Schmide, that way i won't mess up again.

DP->VGA adapters are by definition active. (I should know. I used one before to string up my old Eyefinity setup. It works.) The active/passive problem only applies to DP->HDMI/DVI adapters. I wouldn't necessarily go too cheap if I were you OP. Try buying one of the approved ones:
