Apple A4 uses same ARM Cortex A8 core as Samsung Galaxy

Can clearly see that the single ARM core on A4 is identical to Samsung S5PC110A01. Otherwise, the A4 looks like the Samsung chip that went on a diet.
Since Apple is designing it for specific devices in mind, it can ditch various unnecessary blocks, save some money and leakage power.
Also, the Samsung chip seems to have some wasted space going down the middle.

Yea, I was reading this as well. Therefore making the Apple A4, less custom 'designed' silicon and more custom 'refined/re-appropriated' silicon. Still a fairly impressive chip.

Can you say true comparison's between the A8 core in the A4 and snapdragon? Now that both are on the same platform, Android.
