Apple 30" Cinema DVI

Compatible with 6800GT? nVidia site says its max res = 2048x1536, which should fit 30" Apple monitor. But I remember reading somewhere here the max res (2048x1536) is when connected to VGA.

Just curious. I'm kinda bored with my 213T now. 😀

yup you need a dual-dvi, and the thing is freaking sweet. Saw it at a Mac store running Finding Nemo, very impressive.

No, you need a special type of dual-DVI. There is little to no info on what, if any, consumer cards have support for it (AFAIK...).

my bad you are correct, its the DDL as posted above by darkswordsman...NV makes a 68Ultra with it, able to support the 30" beauty.

haven't heard of any PC support for that bad boy, if your looking to get one Cerb, you should try contacting apple. Im sure apple would do what they can do get the 30" in your hands and cash in theres 😛

the pc folk are out of luck on this screen.
if you want to use that screen, you need to get a mac, then get the video card, and then you can drop a few $k for the 30" display.

Yeah...
I'm trying to save for a $200+ MP3 player...I'll pass on the $3k display for now, thanks 🙂.

also its 2560 x 1600 not 2048x1536, more that twice as many pixels as 1600x1200. any card can drive it just not hit native res. I wonder if an SLI Nvidia setup could do it?
