I have had this keyboard last over a month in daily use on one charge.
And I mean heavy daily use!

I absolutely adore this keyboard. Me and bro got ours for $100 a piece when they were $150. The rebates came within 4 weeks. The battery lasts forever on that thing. My biggest gripe would probably be the touch disc.. It's just not quite large enough for me.. But I already have a VX Revolution so it's not much of a concern to me. Plus the media controls are just awesome.

Not to mention support it great. I broke a key on my first one. With a picture and sending it back I had a brand new keyboard within a week.

A word of caution though. The Bluetooth dongle that comes with it is only designed to work with Setpoint drivers. It's basically just a rebadged Broadcomm dongle. You can use modified Widcomm drivers to unlock its potential as a fully usable bluetooth dongle (I have my girlfriend using it for her headset to use on skype and in online games).

I can't say how to do it, but PM me and I keep a zip file of modified drivers and instructions on how to install everything and get it to work. Works on XP and W2K. I *believe* Vista has built in drivers that work relatively well. I don't know yet as the two Vista laptops in the house have bluetooth modules built in, so I didn't have to use the supplied dongle.

Forgive my ignorance, but what so great about this keyboard that's worth the initial $120?

Most I've paid for a keyboard is $70 for my Adesso 3000ub ( http://www.amazon.com/Wireless...&qid=1211912585&sr=8-2 ) which seems to be a lot more comfortable in a HTPC situation. It's not something I'd write a novel on, but gets the job done. And for my desktop, I don't think I could go without my Microsoft ergo 4000.

So, I've read the reviews on the keyboard, and I've seen it in person, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out what's so great about the keyboard for it's price (nevermind the rebate).

The functionality plus the build quality is unmatched IMO. Also it works great for those who prefer flat-topped, short-throw, notebook-like keyboards as I do.

In it's default state, the DiNovo bluetooth dongle does not function as a full-fledged bluetooth receiver in Windows Vista, which really sucks. It works perfectly with the keyboard itself, but you won't be able to pair your phone, or other bluetooth devices to your pc using the logitech dongle.

I game with mine but be warned. The bluetooth (same with RF keyboards I've found) have a transmit limitation of around 3 keys. When more than 3 keys are pressed on the keyboard, commands appear not to go through. I noticed this first in Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari). I would move and aim up (D+W key) while charging up my spur weapon (X), and performing a boosted jump (holding Z). One of these commands would never go through. I'd noticed this with RF keyboard as well. It's never happened to me on my standard fair of PS/2 or USB keyboards, as well as my G15. That leads me to believe it has more to do with the wireless transmission abilities of RF and Bluetooth keyboards.

OK, well I'm fairly sure my modified drivers I use on Win XP machines work on Vista as well. It's a really poor dongle to have to use due to its design, but once connected it does work with pretty much all devices as well as have a range of at least 30 ft.

Not sure if this will be a problem. but says ships from and sold by tiger direct on your amazon link, and rebate says must be bought from amazon. If it was sold by amazon the free shipping would apply but I don't think it does from TD.

It's a very sexy keyboard, but too expensive. I use a $15 MS basic keyboard. When it gets dirty, I just buy another one.

Odd...I followed his link, in the OP, and got this:

True, there is a TD link on the right side if you wish to purchase from TD, but the main buying link is directly from Amazon. Don't know where you're getting it's only or directly from TD.

That happens all the time with Amazon. Things go in and out of stock and the "Ships from and sold by" store changes. Currently I see Amazon as the seller. Note that the rebate is good through 6/02.

Something tell me this is going to get replaced soon. I'd love to see this with backlighting for all the keys.

Looks like the more we buy, the higher the price goes. $70, $80, $90. Wonder if they're looking for the price point at which all sales cease.
