Info Apparently you can clone a SATA drive onto NVMe and Win(10) is ok with it

I've cloned quite a few drives with say Samsung Data Migration or EaseUS Todo Backup (also free), but this is the first time I've cloned a SATA SSD onto an NVMe drive. I had my doubts about whether it would work straight away because a different storage driver would be required to complete the boot process, but apparently the default NVMe driver is ready to go on a normal Win10 install.

I thought I'd share this here in case anyone was having similar doubts.

Yeah, if Windows is new enough cloning to NVME isn't an issue. IIRC win7 and before might need some intervention with a driver though.
