http://www.businessinsider.com/cuba-denies-it-sent-troops-to-syria-2015-10

On Wednesday, a US official confirmed to Fox News that Cuban paramilitary and special forces units are on the ground in Syria, citing evidence from intelligence reports.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Cuban troops may have been training in Russia and may have arrived in Syria on Russian planes.
The Fox News report also noted that the official cited in the story "could not confirm whether Cuba's top general is in Syria, or if Cuban forces are manning Russian tanks provided to Assad by Russia."
Yeah, lets become chummy with Cuba. Even as I can still hear the Cuba spy numbers station on shortwave.

Can anyone explain what this gibberish means?

Not really, he's doing of things like that a lot again lately. Even if I had a Ham radio operator was a room mate in the Marines about 1981 about drove me nuts.

John should be looking for Nazi submarine tranmission's, on the side.

I doubt Cuban spy radios do a frigging things these days, but of course John was using dial up till 2000.

Morse code really isn't much of a thing these days.

That and I imagine Cuba will be a major tourist area again real soon, and the casinos etc will be running again.

There are probably some Canadians that have went to Syria with Daesh, maybe we should raid the border :p

I always hope 99% of the time John isn't serious, but he always seem to be.

Another dumbfuck post by John Connor.

If he ever makes one that isn't, someone notify me. I was too young to appreciate last time Haley's Comet was visible so I'd like to see something even rarer, and an intelligent post by John Connor seems just the ticket.

Anyone who has lived in Central or South Florida in the last, I don't know, 30 years has heard the numbers broadcasts. They sometimes are broadcast on public spectrum AM radio and can be heard in your car or your living room with no more "special" equipment than this. This is not new. This is not made up. Just because you haven't heard it doesn't mean it's not happening. As for who is broadcasting these messages, well it has in fact been Cuba as recently as 2001 (See the Miami Five). Anyone who lived in Florida who even occasionally watched the local news was aware of this story.

I think it is safe to assume that whatever intelligence Cuba was gathering was sent to the former Soviets and today the Russians. Now, is this important? I suppose that's for you to decide for you but please don't deny it is/was happening. America is in enough of a bubble these days, please don't make it worse by pretending that these types of things are for "conspiracy whackjobs" - the US government certainly doesn't agree.

"Breaking news, a former WWII Nazi sub surfaces outside the Port of Miami trying to broadcast Enigma code and is accidentally squashed by a 135.000 ton cruise ship. Travelers on board the pool deck raised their glasses in a salute."

CentCom is still in Tampa as far as I know, there is probably more ELINT going on in between drug cartels and homeland security in that area than Cuba to begin with.

Anything in Cuba would probably be messed with and fed misinformation and laughed at a bit these days I imagine.

It's bloods vs cripts in Syria and the Russians and now their buddy Cubans are proping up the bloods. Do you honestly think this is a good idea? Do you people honestly think Russia doesn't have other middle eastern ambitions? History is repeating in the future.

so a few Cuban forces are fighting our enemies?

what's the problem again?

Yeh, but they're fighting alongside our other enemies in the region who are fighting against our friends- as if we have any friends left in the fight.

How in the world the Obama admin convinced themselves that meddling in Syria was a good idea after the Bush Admin's destruction of Iraq is beyond my understanding. Well, unless destruction is the objective in the first place. Maybe it is.

When are north Korea troops go g to get some combat trigger time?

The North Koreans don't bother me that much. They are a threat, no doubt about it. But China is a bigger threat especially with the South China sea BS. Russia is buddy, buddy with China and China is buddy, buddy with North Korea. Shit may in fact hit the proverbial fan.

Since Obozo doesn't even hardly listen to his CIA briefings, and when shit does hit the fan, he'd probably go golfing.

The DPRK isn't a threat to anybody other than their southern cousins who'd kick their asses should they ever be stupid enough to charge across the DMZ. They're totally out-classed & they know it.

And if China's interests in the S China sea aren't legitimate how could our own be any better?

We're on the other side of the world w/ no legit claims whatsoever.

Hahaha, OK I laughed.

The Miami 5 had actual good intel, you can read about the Federal court case against them and their convictions.

CentCom is still in Tampa, yeah. Honestly though, our intel is hit or miss and for every super competent professional we have, there are a dozen complete idiots. That probably goes for everyone else too. I wouldn't count it out.
