What is it about people these days, and their inability to make their own damn decisions? I'm so tired of all of these "should I use my left or right hand to wipe my @ss. I don't know which one would yield better performance!!!". WTF? I remember pouring over specs and lists, figuring out what I wanted when I was upgrading, and then getting it, and living with what I got, or atleast until I could get something else to replace it. What happened to that? Or was I really the only bloody one?
Now, I have even posted questions about products on here, but I was explicit in asking for other peoples' experience? Is that the information that these people are really after? Would it be too hard to actually state that? Everyone isn't doing this, but stuff along the lines of "help me pick the right toilet paper" is just sad. Pick you own damn equipment, and enjoy doing it. Is that too much to ask?
Okay, I feel a bit better now. Hopefully I won't regret this...

meh, i'm stuck between dothan and venice, leaning towards the venice, but dothans seem so nice. thats my main indecision right now

I don't blame people for seeking opinions and such. What I hate is when people just post up a detailed question or problem they are having and expect others to give them all the answers. Like..."Build me a system" posts. I mean if you did some research yourself and came up with some parts on your own and want them critiqued or want suggestions, etc., then thats fine. But when people ask others to do 100% of their research, now that I think is just foolish. As far as all these food and misc item decision threads, they are lame and will go out of style eventually.

Drink your coffee, then get back to us.

I agree. Advice and opinion asking is merited (most of the time), but it seems that so many people are doing it incesantly. Maybe we should compile a list of recommended parts, and just send everyone to that list... I don't know. I'm tiring of it quickly. I like the highly technical forum now, because there isn't any of that in there...
