I was thinking of picking up a cheap ($30) 8mb Rage Pro-based tv-out card to install in a rig that already has a 32mb GF2. I remember long ago there was an app, I believe, that people were using to switch between 2 video cards they had installed, at the time I think it was an Nvidia card as the primary (AGP) card, and an add-in PCI Voodoo card for Glide games. Does anyone know if there's anything like that around, assuming it would still work with the current cards?
Also, a corollary question, I guess -- am I expecting too much from the 8mb Rage Pro card? ATI has the best tv-out quality, I know, but was this the case back then as well? Also, its 2d performance wouldn't be too slow to deal with divx movies, would it -- as divx movies and the like are really only dependent on the cpu, right?
A bunch of questions, I know... thanks for reading...
