App to record DVD Slide Show

I want to send pictures to my grandmother on a DVD that allows her to advance through the photos with the remote control for her DVD player. The only applications that I can find create a slideshow and then encode it to video. Are there any apps that do what I want?

Nero can do exactly that. I made a slideshow with my photos from my trip to Germany and Czech Rep to send to various family members. The actual app is called Nero Photoshow, and you can actually burn it to a CDR rather than DVD, since photos dont take up hardly any space, and will still be playable in most DVD-players.

You can download the free version of Photoshow HERE

I have a full version of Nero 6. I'll take a look at it. When I originally looked at it (in the wee hours of the morning) it looked like it saved the photos as a video, which is not what I want.

well, its going to be converted into VOB files and all that, but you should be able to set the duration of the slide, before it auto switches to the next slide, so if you want to make it manually switch to the next slide, just make the duration of each pic like 1 minute. Then the user can just use the >> button on the remote to switch to the next slide.
