App to monitor drives

Does anyone know of an applet that can monitor drive access or queues and tell me what process is taking drive time? I can hear my drives accessing at wierd times and while I don't think it's spyware or the like I'd really like to know what the hell is doing it. I've eliminated the usual culprits like AV, Anti-spy ware and defrags. I've got the indexing service turned off but it still happens and it's driving me nuts.
