App to measure best signal strenght for WiFi?

Would anyone be kind enough to suggest an app, either iOS or Android, or heck BB as well, that allows me to measure my WiFi signal? I am moving around my router over and over trying to figure out best place to put in in a 3 floor house, with a multitude of devices accessing it. I keep seeing WiFi Analyzer but for this purpose there are NO other WiFi signals so I am not worried about which channel to choose, as it's out in the country and there is no one else but my dad's. I just need to figure out where to put the bloody router to get the best signal for "MOST" of the WiFi devices in his main house. I am just bewildered as to how much of a difference it makes for some things... but it's frustrating as one works well and then the other sucks in the other room in another floor. Sigh. Unless the Analyzer also does that or unless actual different channels also make a different on WiFi... even if there is no one else... just that 1 is better than 6 or 11?

I use WiFi Analyzer. It's ad-supported but free otherwise, and seems to work pretty well.

WiFi Analyzer is my go to tool for this. I can walk around the corners of wherever I am to get a really good idea of how strong a signal is in real time.
