Normally I would never say anything about another member, but this guy is simply ruining quality discussion in the Video section of this forum. Every single thread about AMD's upcoming products has turned into a flame-fest because of Appopin and his relentless bashing of AMD. He contributes no intelligent discourse, and his posting style is filled with a bizarre mix of emoticons and italics.

I'm not advocating kicking this guy out of here permanently, but I think you mods need to put him on a short leash and get him to stop ruining good threads. I and many others are really getting sick of this guy.

You should really PM a mod about this as public threads that call out another member usually do no good and instead, creates even further hostility.

I once had a problem with Apoppin, but we quickly resolved our issues through PM and went our separate ways. He's a nice guy, just VERY passionate about video cards :)

I'm not saying he isn't a good person, but his enthusiasm for video cards is excessive. So much so that it is interfering with any sort of intelligent discourse.

No wai! Apoppin is one of the most respected members around here. Maybe he has just out dumbed you whiners, and since you can't keep up, you have to resort to calling him on the carpet here. Damn P*ssys! Grow a pair! :|

and make *sure* you post the context to show that i am contributing "no intelligent discourse" and that is is actually "me" that is "ruining" your threads

it seems to me that i am replying "in kind" to the forum members who do much *worse* than i do - we are talking about "Video" ... not ANY other sub-forum of which i am active in several.

as my "bizarre" posting style - or "lack, thereof" ... is frankly none of your business

i don't remember EVER seeing you in Video and you are certainly rude to break forum rules by posting this unsubstantiated nonsense in FI

+1 - OP clearly dislikes smileys or does not understand at apoppin likes ATI cards and might be a little annoyed at AMD for waiting. But flamewar? No.

But if you feel he needs a good talking to, I will do it.

Apoppin! You stop that! Your posting quality has sunk to dog doo. You are like only using like 5-6 emoticons and there are clearly many more to choose from. You better straighten up and post with better use of the full range of expressions. Jeez. Don't make me do that again. ;)

i got *lost* at the Elder Scroll forum ... once - for months - while playing Oblivion ... and i dare not return there
... they have a *real selection* of dozens of awesome emoticons ... almost overwhelming to me.

If he annoys you that much just ignore his posts.. The fact that other guys are replying to his posts w/o any particular issues and the fact that he is respected by a significant portion of users in Video, makes your point even weaker..
