APM on CUSL2

Is APM usable on an Asus CUSL2/Win2k Pro? ACPI is disabled, but when I try to install APM support it won't work. The APM utility on the WIndows CD says "ACPI BIOS, APM not relevant". If not, is there a utility like MODBIN that I can disable ACPI in the BIOS with? I tried MODBIN but I can't access the Power settings.
