Aphex's psychic phone abilities strike again

I posted about this months ago, I seem to have the ability to either know when people are calling before they do, or know what they are calling about. I do it constantly with my wife, sometimes even grabbing my phone before it starts ringing.

Today I had the double shot.

I was out walking my dog enjoying the beautiful weather when a thought popped into my mind, I need to call my friend Steve to tell him how annoyed I am that we didn't buy Kayak's yet and how perfect of a day it would be to go kayaking (we've both been looking for awhile but haven't bit yet). Both my cell and my house phone were back in the house.

I come home and see I have a voicemail, Steve called while I was out and said he found a good deal on some used Kayaks in Miami, the model we've been looking at.

When you know someone well, you contact them. When you contact them often you develop a pattern. Eventually you come to expect contact from someone at a particular moment because on average throughout time you happen to talk to each other around that time.

Pretty simple actually.

If there was a pattern to our conversations, sure. But I haven't spoken to Steve in about 1.5 weeks, and if anything we would usually talk in the late afternoons, but its not like we chat on the phone all that often.

Its nice to feel we that we have unique abilities. It makes us feel special. I have had a similar experience when I had a particular job for 17 years. Heck, sometimes I would pick up my phone (and it didnt even ring) and someone was already there about to ask me a question. Weird.

But I thought there had to be another explanation for our "psychic feelings" and thats what I came up with - patterns. More power to you, however.

ps. Did I forget to tell you I hear future events before they happen? For example, Citibank will hit $5 tomorrow and $9 before the year is out. Im special. 🙂

omg! Your thread reminded me I have to get the kayaks out of the barn today & wash them, plus I have to put the canoe on craigslist & get rid of it.

Aphex strikes again!

Ever notice how some folks will grasp at a logical explanation no matter how unreasonable?

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.

And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.

And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.

"Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him",
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

I was dating a girl that I would talk to everynight. We would stay up till about 11 or so talking. She got up early so I never expected to call late, and she never did.

One day, we got in a fight, and stopped talking. A few days later, I was laying in bed at like 3am realizing that I was the one who was wrong, and wishing I could talk to her. I said a real humble prayer, and basically said I would do anything to hear her voice.

RING! she called. She had never called me past midnight before, much less 3am. She literally said she was thinking about me and wanted to say hi. The phone rang less than 10 seconds after I prayed about it.

What's up with all the haters?

I believe you aphex. Much can be explained by science and logic, but just as much is mysterious and unknown.

I pose a challenge to you. Keep a mini notebook with you throughout the day. Make a note each time you think someone is going to call you (and who/when) -- then make a note each time you recieve a call (also who/when). Then post the raw data here.

If he has a supernatural power, it can easily be demonstrated by science and logic. The problem is, every time these supernatural powers has been investigated in the past, they have turned out to be confirmation bias.

This generally happens between my wife and myself. Often times I'll be sitting here thinking "man, I could go for XXXXXXX for dinner", I come home and guess what's cooking, even though I never said anything about it to my wife in any recent term. We finish each others' sentences and thoughts quite a bit.

I've had things like that happen with girls I've dated seriously.. whether it's pattern or something more who knows.. but it happens one way or the other.

That or his wife has mind controlled him so that XXXXXXX = mac and cheese everyday.

Proof that God exists right here.

Ironically, I just about hate mac'n'cheese, especially from the box. It's either Stouffer's or home made (and only with my home made cheese sauce), or it's not at all.

Notably, I usually end up doing the cooking.
