APEX Tv's??

Heard anything about this brand?? I bought their 24 inch flat screen tv yesterday for $161.24 after tax. I found a $25 rebate so it'll be only $136.24 when it comes back.

I was thinking about buying more and selling them for profit but I wasn't sure how good of a deal it was.

Here's a link:
TV

Even though it doesn't say, it came with 2 S-Video inputs, the main reason I needed it (for a mame).

Apex is a bargain-basement brand. As long as you're looking for a disposable TV, their stuff might be what you're looking for. But don't expect quality from Apex.

I've had one for several months now, and aside from the flaky composite inputs (S-video, Coax, and L/R sound input are fine) the thing works great.

APEX is pretty much already doing that. 😉

I've never had any success with anything APEX, but I do have friends to swear to the brand (for the price, that is).

Well it seems fine so far. I hope if it breaks, it happens within the 3 months under its warrenty. The rebate I found was just by chance, saw it on another site. It's run by someone on atot, I forgot the name but it's the bargin place...starts with an s.

My dad has a 20" or 24" Apex set...flat-screen.

Looks great from a far distance but at a decent viewing distance I can tell the convergence is WAY off. A red halo around almost everything.

We've had a APEX flat screen TV since the winter. Rolled the dice, and turned down Circuit City's extended warranty at around $60.

So far it's fine. The volume control sucks (it's not quiet enough, even turned down to 1 bar!). The picture and sound are surprisingly good, but I don't have a calibration disk to optimize the video.

1) They're a Wega wannabe
2) I like my TV's with component inputs, thank you very much
3) It's an Apex

That said, the price point is attractive... I thought about getting one for my brother as a birthday present, it's not like he would know (or appreciate) the difference between it & my Wega.
