So I'm looking to buy a budget 27" TV.
And as much as I hate too... I am looking into two that I've seen here:-

This one is by Apex:
Apex 27-inch Stereo TV AT2708S

This one is by Orion:
Orion 27-inch Stereo Color TV STV2763

I've decided on 27" as the best size and S-Video is a must.
And these are both selling for $177.86
What are my options... any other better deals out there.
I'm hoping to get an additional 10-20% off these prices which is why I am looking at Walmart.

Which is the better of the two evils ? :)
I have found reviews for the Orion and they are generally good... can't seem to find any for the Apex.
I do have an Apex DVD player and it's been good to me for over 1.5 years now!

Sweetness,
Mer.

EDIT: There is a Symphonic 27" coming out at Walmart but I do not know the model number or whether it has S-Video.
Could someone provide that info?
I figured with the 10-20% off I'd only be saving a few bucks by buying on black friday... and I'd really not wake up that early just to save a few bucks.

I like the Apex brand pretty good. So with my limited knowledge of them, I say Apex. I think they are a BIG brand in China?

Thanks for the info guys!!

I've had a good experience with Apex too... with their DVD players... so hopefully the TV will work out good for me.

If not, I'll just return it to Walmart I guess :)

My dad has an Apex and the convergence is horrendous! The dot pitch looks like craters on the moon.

Sanyo TVs are usually cheap and Consumer Reports rates them up near the top in reliability and fewest service calls. Just throwing that out there.

I've never had a problem with APEX products. Seem to be good budget items.

I have the orion and had it for a few months, it works great for what I use it for, my next tv willl be an hd, but for the price I don't mind it, I wish it had two s vid inputs, but I'm not going to complain for under $200 out the door for a 27".

I'd spend a few extra bucks and grab a flat screen.
