This particular APEX is the older model of the 600A. It DOES NOT play MP3 media like the newer model, also did not have the shortcut menu that the initial 600A's did.

But hey, if you're looking for cheap DVD, this is probably the bottom of the barrel for prices.

Hey... people can see the items you wanted to check out when they click on "Cart" because of the sessionID in the URL that you linked with. Have them search for Apex 500A or something.

Just to clarify, Circuit City actually sells two versions of the $99 Apex. The AD500 and the AD500A. The AD500 is a stripped down AD600A (they look almost identical, except for no Karaoke Jacks) and it will not play mp3's (nor does the AD500). The AD500A is a rebadged Shinco DVD-1500. Most of the stores have the AD500A (as pictured on the website). I bought one (just to try it out)and it was "decent" for a $99 DVD Player. Good picture quality, and fast tracking between chapters. Unfortunately, it did not play *any* of my CDR/CDRW's as advertised on the site (and I have several different types) so I took it back.

But if I only had $99 to spend, I would definately get it over the KLH DVD player offered at Best Buy for the same price.
